DJI RC N1- Not turning on not charging

I own the DJI Mini 3 Pro and today the DJI RC N1 remote stopped functioning mid flight, I got a black and white screen on the mobile phone.
Fortunately the Return Home function kicked in and the drone came back. The remote controller does not charge or turn on, no LED light is on or flashing.
When I returned home I pressed the power button for one second, then again, hold it to power the remote controller on, nothing happened.
I tried to charge it with two different chargers and two different cables, nothing happened, none of the LEDs turned on.  
I downloaded the flight log from the mobile and the last message was: RC not connected to mobile device.
I am running the v1.10.6 DJI Fly app and both the drone and controller have the latest firmware.
Any ideas what to do?

1. Check whether the battery level has reached 100% (All four bars of the battery level indicator are on).
2. Check if the charged method is correct. Make sure the charging cable is plugged in tightly, and try plugging it in again.
3. Check the LED on the remote controller and confirm if it is in the charging state. If yes, please try charging for 2 hours to see if the power increases. If it still cannot charge, it is recommended to replace the charger and charging cable.

If the charging continues to fail, please provide us with a video showing the issue. Please keep us posted.

Hi! I tried all of the steps you suggest but the remote controller is completely unresponsive/ dead.
No LED lights up when pressing the Power On button or when connecting a charger, so I can't see the battery level or if it's in charging state. As I mentioned in my first post I tried charging it with two different chargers/ cables with no result.

Hello,

I just bought my DJI mini 3 pro.. own for 5 days..
Test flight worked well..
Charged all devices. Flew to Hawaii to use the drone on vacation... Charged all devices after arriving to Hawaii..Launched the drone , within 10 mins controller turned off, drone returned (thank goodness) but the controller is dead.. no battery indicator lights, nothing happens...
Will not turn on.
The temperature outside was 85° Fahrenheit.

Tried all things above in this post.
What is the next option?

You may also try to connect and download the DJI Assistant 2 via this link. After the installation, you may connect your remote controller and refresh/update the firmware. pushed button for 15 sec
pushed for 1 sec then long holdCannot connect with DJI Assistant 2 because it is dead.

Hi there. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. Can you please confirm what specific RC controller are you using? Could you please provide us the serial number via PM so we can check it further? Also, have you tried to leave the RC on the charger for approximately 2-3 hours or more to check if the behavior is still the same? Please keep us posted. Thank you for your cooperation.

Bumping this thread. I've taken my DJI 2 mini on a total of 4 flights and my controller won't stay turned on while plugged into a USB-C charger. DJI still hasn't acknowledged that this is a widespread issue. Are we at least able to get these fault controllers repaired for free?

The same exact thing happened to me mid flight. No warnings or indication that the battery on the remote was about to die. Luckily the drone returned home on its own. What's the source of this issue. It's obviously not an isolated incident.

How can so many people have the same issue and DJI just brushes it off giving silly troubleshooting options as if we all didn't desperately try everything we could find on the internet.
PLEASE EMAIL ME if this has happened to you and together we can possibly do something because I feel so cheated to have to pay for an assessment and then the replacement of the controller when the fault was not mine.
