An amazing city.  Great views. Surprising to see those rusting hulks by the river.  @DAFlys will like those.

We saw quite a few when we visited Poland,    been there a couple of times now.    An old work colleague was from Poland and he sparked ask interest in visiting.

Naw.  It's another lost cause. It could be miles downriver by now.

The river is not much more than a metre deep and maybe 10 metres wide at it's widest point.

You could snorkel that easily.  How's the current in that location?  Could be the drone washed way away.

I reckon it most likely has. There's a weir just there, (near Archie, the Archimedes' Screw generator I've filmed) and just now the water is roaring over it after a couple of weeks of squally rain and storms.

RTH was set at 100m Homepoint was established. 65% battery remaining at moment of signal lost. That point was only 150m from Homepoint.  I don't know what he did - I wasn't there. But I reckon I could have retrieved it, had I been.

Thank you all for your nice comments. 20 years ago I was working in Italy. The Italians we worked with said they thought of us as savages from the East. That polar bears walk the streets, that there is only snow and frost  No one has seen Bears so far, and snow, of course, is winter, because we have a temperate climate. In every country, including Poland, there are smart and stupid people, bad and good people. It's worth seeing for yourself

Did he stick around at the homepoint for very long because it should be there but by the sounds of it. 100m RTH height he's unlikely to hit anything.

Yikes, if it made it all the way to Archie it is long chopped up and gone.

The screw is caged in with a mesh that the drone could not get through. I had a look all around the enire area, but it's like looking for a needle in a haystack.  He's accepted that his drone is lost for good.

Unwisely - he had neither

Just seen the new plans, could be an improvement, but I've not studied them in any detail yet.

You're welcome.
It will probably take some time, (months).
I'm starting a big renovation project, so that gets priority.
Although I will make some test flights to see if there are defects.
