This place is just a short drive from the city of Vancouver heading north to Squamish, Whistler and beyond. It has been our weekday afternoon escape for years, yet there is always something new to explore. It was just recently I learnt that Furry Creek is home to rock paintings believed to be anywhere from 800 to 3000 years old, naturally I had to look for them.

Thank you, yes I did find them, unfortunately some modern "artists" left their contributions as well, it was obvious that someone tried to remove the graffiti addition with little success.

Actually it is not too remote, but you can access this location by water only (I think, it looked pretty steep all around), mindboggling that someone would bring a spray can there.

Yeah, that would indicate intent, rather than impulse. I suppose we have to hope that the empty cans were not discarded as litter in such a beautiful spot. That's a blight becoming more common these days.
