One from the Caithness area today, the Old Castle of Wick, blocky and not much remaining, but still worth a look see...

Great vid for breakfast! Gorgeous weather as always. Weren't you starting off near the airport? Or am I reading the zones wrong again? Shame it's closed but it's much better viewed from the air anyway.

Thanks, the weather was interesting, there was a sea haar (fog) in the distance, and a full halo around the sun, unfortunately I couldnt get it on film...

The airport is the other side of Wick, near Castle Sinclair - I wanted to fly there, but didn't have the chance to do so and would have needed to contact Wick ATC for permissiion.. We were literally 1/4 mile outside the FRZ, so all good to fly...

Lovely views of the ruin.  It may all crumble into the sea one day

Very nice and smooth flying.   

Lovely footage.    Not a lot left of the old castle.  The walls are very thick and no doubt it would have been easily defended, if needed, based on it's location.  The cliffs are very dramatic on the coastline in his location.  If memory serves me right that is not to far from Thurso.  

Seems like a strange place to build a castle. Still, another nice video!

Probably... originally there was barracks, stables, cookhouse and church on the headland, and a gatehouse with a drawbridge before you got to the castle...

Not too bad, we were at a woodworkign demo yesterday and getting on with a couple of crafting projects today as the weather isnt good enough for the Drone...

Another couple of hours and this leather shoulder bag/purse will be completed..
