Great shot DA.    Does appear they are getting very busy.  Probably best the owners let the marina know as far in advance as possible when they need their boat in the water.

This is a different boat yard about 4 miles away,    a friend was doing some work here on a boat   It needed the bulk heads re veneered.   It's supposed to be just for motor boat but as they are so cheap just about everyone wants to use it for maintenance.

It's so cheap on that boat years that people are shipping their boats down from Norfolk for time on the hard.    They use cockles from the local cockle sheds on the ground in there which always makes me laugh.    A friend of mine was working on a boat in there and they were joking with the owner that his boat  has traveled more by truck than water.

Traveling more by truck than by water is not good when it comes to owning and using a boat.  I'd looked into the costs of a Lift of Opportunity to bring my boat over to the Mediterranean area but was way to expensive.  When I get back in the overseas travel mode I'll for sure be flying and using rental vehicles.

I did stand outside a coffee place the other day waiting to be served and the young lady that was supposed to be serving,  completely blanked me multiple times and then went to the back and started to eat,  so I walked off in a huff.     Went and tried the place with the cake from the other day instead.

Cheers,  technically we are 2 short as they got vandalised and removed from the hunt,  but when I see in the news that they have been repaired I will go and get them too.

Some of the elephants had info on them how they were done and how long it took,   sadly this wasnt one of them.

I'm guessing weeks were spent on them.  Especially, if you include planning, procurement of materials and then the actual tedious work involved.

When I went looking to see if any were out before the official start,  the give away was yellow planning notices that had been put up where they were going.  So no doubt a lot of work for them.

That's a real shame for someone to vandalize such a work of art.  Too bad a judge can't throw the book at them for such a heinous crime.

From what I understand all of the elephants had been put under CCTV cameras so I hope they might have it on camera.

Id hope so,   but sadly we are unlikely to ever hear what happens.  the organisers are being a bit wooly with the levels of damage for example,    Hopeing to head back and see one today that had been removed  for repairs so it will be interesting see if I can spot the repair job.

You may have to zoom in real close to see the repairs.  Especially if they are as skilled at repairs as they were at constructing the project from the start.
