At the moment, yes RC2 is only compatible with the A3. Possibly down the road we *might* see other models added, old or new. Could be a difference in compatibility spec on what can be supported. Only time and DJI will tell.

Yes and at the moment it seems they have just plain forgotten about the DJI RC formware as its several versions behind at this point.  

O4 and 4 antennas.. who knows, maybe some software update will make magically some older drones compatible.. but which ones?
Released in 2023 Mini 3 - no way?
2022 releases and older.. no way again

No, not compatible with the Air 3. No one knows if DJI will add compatibility support for the RC Pro or the older RC. But based on earlier threads and reviews, it may not be likely due to Air 3 and RC2 having O4 whereas the other controllers only support O3 and older.

No currently,  O4 uses a new radio frequency so it remains to be seen if they can add it.

Not really as the rm500 doesn't work with any of the newer drones.  

Is it possible to connect the controller to pc to use the simulator?

My experience with the very first DJI FPV units is that you really have to want what comes out of the box.
Take the offering at face value.. this controller, this drone, these features.   That's the package.

Don't pin your hopes on future updates, compatibility, or maybe-they-will possibilities.  You pretty much get what you buy, and a new thing will be out next year.
In some cases, compatibility goes DOWN.. if you upgrade your Vista firmware, it doesn't work with the Goggles v2 any more, for example.

DJI is so far ahead that they essentially compete only with their own product line.

I was hoping but i wasn't expecting this move from DJI.

Wow, this is second thing surprises me nowadays, first one was the goggles support even for mini 3 pro.

You're on right way DJI, more thrust brings more customers always.

I got the same... I did the update yet the Air 3 did not show up in connection guide. Were you able to connect?

That's only the fly app updates... Nothing to do with the RC Pro Firmware update... RC Pro is not yet compatible with the new drone...

Anyone knows what countries 5.2 ghz band  allowed and AIR 3 working?
