Dji just released the new controllers, the rc and rc pro not long ago. The range is more than enough for vlos and flying within the law. Since you arent even suppose to fly beyong vlos. So why are dji releasing new rcn2 and rc2 with os4 for better range when os3 is far more than enough. When i purchased the rc pro, i was expecting future drones to work on those so i can get the drone only package and use my rc pro. Now with the release of the air3 and new controller, i feel like dji just want to sell new controllers with future drones to get more money. Nothing is wrong with the rc and rc pro. So why need to make a new controller. I dont really care if they make new controller if they keep backward compatible so we can use our rc and rc pro on new drones. But to make is only work with new controller is bs imo. I see this pattern new drones will get their own controller whenever they are released so we the customers will have to buy the new controller just to fly the new drones. Smh. Rip rc and rc pro.

OC4 uses new radio frequencies which are not as polluted as OC3 thus it needs new antennas.

On behalf of most DJI customers, please disregard this users post. We welcome extended range. Although backwards compatibility is a minimum expected standard for western customers. I will never purchase a controller that doesn't service ALL my drones. No matter how much range you tempt me with. But please NEVER consider your range "good enough" - it's not. The practical range is always about 10% of what the advertised range is on your products so far. So more range is a must.
