Frankly, I don't believe you. If it's so secret...why would you come on here and tell about it? It will be nice when the Inspire gets released so we can be clear of all the BS..that keeps piling up.

I do believe that the downloads are available.
I also cannot think of any good reason not to share with the rest of us.

I'd rather not be the one to share it if it was a glitch.

A screenshot I took before uninstalling. It really is useless as an app unless you have the inspire hooked up to the controller.




I know we all can't wait but it will be ready when we get our inspires, I'm sure

No problem.  You are right, unless you have the Inspire you cannot see most of the features.  Just be patient a little longer.  It will not be much longer.

Yes they are.  DJI really does not want our competitors to have advanced knowledge of our programing.

What programing are you referring to if the SDK is going to be available soon.

The SDK is not available now nor is the Inspire.  Both will be soon but not yet.

Ed, is the intent to be able to download the app from a link via the QR code on the back of the transmitter? Just curious

Once the Inspire ships the QR code will be included in the manual.  At least that is my understanding.  The App is still not done but it is close.

I'd like to be able to read the manual already to gain some time.

The manual included states V1.0 12-2014, however it is full of spelling errors, so they are still working on it. It has all of the pages that were previously missing in the other leaked manual

the build date of the app seems to be 12/24/2014

Well the offical release email is out so can we get the app now to have a look and play with what it is about.
As well as the manual.

It will be publicly released before you receive your unit. The app is useless w/o the unit.. Stay tuned.

The (preliminary) manual definitely looks like it needs some proof reading. For example the section that describes the orientation lights says that the Front LED are solid green and the Rear LED are solid red. I believe this is backwards from the videos online.
Would DJI be interested in having some volunteers proof read through the manual?

Wait until you receive your Inspire. In your manual you'll find a URL (QR code) to download the App.

It looks like the app is now available at m.dji.net/djipilot , just enter your serial number for the Inspire 1.

There definitely is an iOS version of the DJI Pilot app for the Inspre.
To install, go to m.dji.net/djipilot from your iOS device (it currently asks for Inspire serial number)

Or just got to DJI.com click products/inspire1/downloads and get it there.  Android version only right now.  I had trouble downloading directly to my android so I downloaded it to my MacBook Pro and then uploaded it to my dropbox account and downloaded to my droid from there.  It installed fine and works (as well as it can without the inspire actually connected) on my LG Pad 7" so here's hoping to it working when my Inspire arrives!  If anyone on here is having trouble downloading send me your email address and i'll give you access to it on my dropbox account.

This is odd because the manual says:
"For the best experience, use mobile device with Andriod V 4.1.2 or above, iOS version is coming soon". So which is it? We'll see!
One thing is for sure: all public app downloads must go through Apple and the App Store. So even if DJI submitted the app by now, Apple must approve - hence the delay. The only file at that website is the Android app, which comes through fine on a computer.

Apple iOS users (like me) may have to wait to fly if Apple hasn't approve the app by next week.

Keep in mind that Apple has a holiday freeze on new apps or updates to existing apps.. Im assuming they did not submit it before the freeze since they were adding last minute changes. The freeze ended on the 29th of December so most likely DJI submitted it on the 30th. It usually takes about a week unless it gets pushed back for changes.

Managed to download the app. Works on my iPad Air and iPhone 6+

Just remember DJI wants this App and the Unit in your hands, more than you want this App and Unit in your hands.  Because... the sooner they get this App and Unit safely and securly in your hands, the sooner DJI can get busy on developing the next App and Unit to replace this current App and Unit, which will have us ALL clamoring for a whole NEW App and Unit in our hands.
