Good morning, everyone,
I own several DJI drones, Air 2s, Avata, Mavic 3 Cine and FPV.
A few months ago I replaced the Goggles V2 viewer and bought a new Goggles V2 demo viewer. Everything is working smoothly, but I have noticed that when the DJI FPV is connected to my IOS device, and I open the DJI Fly app, I see all the other DJI drones, Air 2s, Avata, Mavic 3 Cine with the words "associated with" and "remove device from account" while in DJI FPV there is no "associated with" and "remove device from account".
How come when I unplug my DJI FPV, and open the DJI Fly app I see all drones except my DJI FPV.
I have all drones up to date and the DJI Fly App up to date.
Kind regards

Hi there. Thank you for reaching out. Please be advised that the DJI FPV does not support binding via DJI Fly app since the DJI FPV drone doesn't have a DJI Care flyaway coverage. Only products that support the DJI Care Flyaway Coverage can do binding/unbinding. Hope this helps. Thank you for your valued support.

Essentially the same issue has recently wasted hours of my time and others.

I bought a second-hand DJI FPV aircraft recently. Everything was fine except I could not bind it to my account in the DJI Fly App (and I tried several versions including the very latest). I could see it in the app when it was connected via the Goggles, etc., and sync individual flight records to the app also, but no option for binding to my account appeared (even though I have two other DJI aircraft bound and one of those is an even older and also second-hand Mini 2).

I assumed it must still be bound to the original owners account (who is not who I bought it from). I am at least the 4th owner.  I also checked on the page that DJI provide where you can query an aircraft using the serial number. The current output seems to indicate the original owner probably had DJI Care/Refresh but it doesn't say anything about whether it was bound to an account or not. Surely that could be added?

Why does it matter? The aircraft that are bound to my DJI account appear in the Profile -> Device Management section of the appear where the app also shows total flight time and total distance. It might seem like a minor thing but I like to be able to quickly refer to that information every now and then without connecting everything up.

Because DJI's removal of the ability to bind a DJI FPV was not clearly announced and there is no unambiguous information in the app to indicate that is the case meant I wasted a lot of time and also wasted the time of the previous owner and that of the staff of the company he had purchased it from as I contacted them several times trying to get the issue resolved. (Basically trying to get proof of the ownership trail so I could present that to DJI eventually.)

Today I finally had an online chat with DJI Support and person I communicated with indicated the ability to bind the DJI FPV to an account disappeared from the DJI Fly app with v1.5.4. I was also told the aircraft was in fact no longer bound to any account.

I looked at the documentation for that v1.5.4 update and saw nothing about this change. Shame on you DJI for not making this clear with the update and obvious in the newer versions of  the app! ("Binding no longer supported" or "Already bound to another account" would be all that was needed where the option to bind is normally presented.)

So after all this I thought I would try to download a suitably old version of the app onto another phone and try to bind the DJI FPV to my account that way. But no, that doesn't even work for me as it seems the phone is now running an Android version "too new" for those older versions of the app to run. It keeps on saying the app has a bug when run after installation. More wasted time (and bandwidth) as I ended up trying several different versions of the APK for the app).

Can someone in DJI bind the aircraft to my account for me? I'm sure it would be easy to do!

Hi all,

i had similar issue today. Here is how I resolved issue:

1: Initially tried assistant 2 on mac, no dice. Then Oneplus Nord- Cannot connect to Device error. Funny it was mentioned in compatible models... I noted it also warned me I was on a newer version of Android- needed older Android version.

2: I got older Motorola phone!

3: The trick here is to pair physically USB c from mobile app to Goggles! Then the goggles will update to your aircraft.

NOTE: Please charge all devices fully, I have fast broadband and it still took the whole 8 minutes.

The FPV rocks thanks so much DJI! I'm still delighted with device and will get the new googles in consideration of the perfect experience 3 years later!

Hey you need a far more battle hardened more diligent support guy? :-)
