Please tell me that its not another action camera launch and not the Pocket 3 that we are all waiting for.

The lens is too small and the sensor ain't fine.
GoPro is better and Sony is kool,
If you ain't got neither, you're just a fool!

But lo and behold Osmo is Four!
It's almost August so no time to snore!
So get in line and buy at least ten,
Cuz we ain't no pussies but a bunch of real men.

They even had a "contest" a while back to provide feedback on UI and such. Us fools thought it was for the action 3. Oh well. As I said, they ain't getting my money. Maybe a few years (at least 5) down the road.

Does seem wrong that this is coming-out so soon.   May be it will have some other unique feature that cant be added in software.

Only main difference that we know between OA3 and OA4 is the bigger sensor in OA4. Could be it have 10MP sensor also.
So bigger sensor + less density (MP) could make it a low light beast compared to other brands.
This is what Nikon and Sony have done for years, releasing a new camera with less MP for being able to have amazing low light (high ISO) performance (Sony A7s vs A7r)

Just hope it will not have the heavy noise reduction with higher ISO.

Just hope, it will be based on mostly the same hardware so that future accessories are still downward compatible. A simple but failsave DJI USB-C audio adapter is still something that the market demands and DJI ignored long time.
And lets hope that they don't neglect the OA3. There are still some "bugs" left to fix...

Action 3 came very soon after action 2 about the same length of time. Action cameras seem to come on the market very fast.

It looks like a good camera. I like the boost for low light. For me, the quality of the picture is key, so this time I’m going to sit and watch just in case some new problems emerge. If all looks good, then I might get one but I’m not going to get one straight away as I did with the Action 3.

There is a couple of reasons that would make me consider it.
Mainly more physical controls for camera parameters.
Maybe a bigger + better sensor, but I'm quite good with the P2 so far.
But the biggest factor why I like the P2 is the size, so that might be a problem to include those 2 things.
