Hello, there. Sorry for the inconvenience.
This model currently does NOT compliant with FAA RID through firmware upgrades. Please purchase a third-party RID module that complies with RID MOC and install it on the aircraft to comply.

the question is why doesn't dji support the mavic pro ??  it has all the required hardware ie. gps and rth and the upgraded software shows a remote id section in the controller !!!  so why no firmware for the pro while other mavic series have the upgraded firmware

I think it is a simple as a marketer could explain it...top line growth on new products. I am disappointed at the lack of communication from DJI on this important issue for loyal customers who got them where they are. For those needed drones to make a living, the choice is to spend money on a monkey back solution or buy a new DJI drone. Not me. Next drone I buy will be an Autel.

We are sorry for the inconvenience. DJI is always devoted to providing users with more convenient and cost-effective compliance solutions. It is pitful that they do not comply with FAA regulations and the strict standards of the Remote ID that are admitted by the FAA because of the hardware limitations of these old aircraft models. Therefore, we can not assist users to comply with the regulations by releasing a new firmware version.  We will recommend you purchase third-party RID modules that comply with FAA.

now have two versions of why dji will not support mavic pro, you say that there are hardware limits and the other administrator says it is firmware problems !!  the mavic pro already has gps and rth fearures !!  seems like nobody is talking to the manufacturer and only reading what is in the book on how to reply to people !!

May we have the link to the thread? We are sorry that Mavic Pro is unable to be compliant with FAA regulations by firmware updating as we explained above.

It is not surprising I have received, like many others, a cut and paste answer to my point. DJI has sufficient resources to provide firmware updates for the Mavic 2 Pro since it is scheduled for release in December 2023. Just enough pressure to have "old" transformed into a "new" sale. I call BS on DJI.

We are sorry for the confusion. The second post is used to further explain the first post. Actually, they are the same.

We believe we have explained the reason in the post. Thank you for your understanding.
