What is the max supported resolution for imported clips in the lightcut app?
I am asking because I tried to import a 4k 30 fps clip and the app didn't allow it.

Hello, there. Sorry for the inconvenience. Currently, there are no requirements for resolution and frame rate, which depend on the support of your device.
However, there are requirements for the frame rate and format of the exported videos.

A: Android: MP4 format: 30 fps;
iOS: MOV format: 30 fps.

Hello, i have problem with lightcut (android) 4k export, made 4k video with osmo action 3 and after oneone tap edit have only options to export in 720p or 1080p not in 4k any idea please how to export from lightcut in 4k?

No error message, just I can not export video clip with higher resolution than 1080p despite imported video was in 4K. Please export the APP Logs of the Lightcut app for them to verify the issue further.
You can find the LOGS file in iTunes-LightCut

I have the same issue. I haven't been able to create and export 4k videos from the ipad version of the app. The iPhone and android version work fine. I have sent multiple emails no response and I left 2 negative reviews on the appstore which were taken down by apple. Seems apple only allows good reviews.

Sorry for the late response. I checked with our teams. Currently, The iPad version of the DJI Lightcut App supports exporting the maximum resolution of 1080p videos.  If you need to export 4k videos, we recommend you use the iPhone version. We have forwarded the issue to our related teams. They will evaluate the request.

Thank you for the reply. Though this is not good enough.  I bought the Ipad primarily to edit videos. The app used to export 4k videos from the ipad until recently. This it obviously a regression bug that could easily be fixed it you cared enough.

I believe this has to dovwith the ipadOS17 upgrade. I pads with Os 16 have the 4k export ability with lightcut. Its the versions 17 and above that have this issue. Mine was working fine until I upgraded to OS 17

I’ve reported the same issue 2x and no fix for a month and a half now.  I was able to export in 4K until the late September 23 update.   Since that update I’m unable to export in 4K.  This app has potential but the dev team is not testing the iPad Pro which makes no sense!   Pls fix or revert it to the previous app.   It worked fine under the IOS 17 beta, so this issue is not IOS17 related!!!

Update today 23/11/23. Finally able to export 4k video on my ipad M1 pro 3rd gen and on  my ipad mini 6th gen. Still 2.7k on iPhone 7 p but 4k on every android device( Samsung s20 and tab s8) and iPhone 11. App is great and free

Yes, it is correct. My son has bit older model of iPad and 4K option is available there.

Hi there. Thank you for reaching out. When using the Lightcut app, we can only export video with a frame rate of 30FPS and a format of Mp4 (for Android) and MOV (for iOS). We will consider this as a suggestion and will forward it to the relevant team for attention. We appreciate your understanding.
