I flew a little yesterday in Storm Antoni and there certainly wasnt any one out on the water playing,   but there was a party going out to spread ashes.

You must have gone away for a bit.     Looks like were are heading off to Barleno next week, and the funny thing is the night before we go Im due to pick up a fully electric car to try out.   So for the first experience it will be a 425mile road trip.   Let's hope we fan figure out the charging.

Not mine,  it was just a little "experience" thing the SHMBOd had organised at work and shes had to pull some strings to extend how long shes got it for.

When we get back. Bandwidth here is prehistoric and phone coverage patchy. Some new Geocache opportunities though

They are great,  I just wish my time there had been longer,  probably the best part of Liverpool.   And no broken glass,  flashers or worse to step over.

Only for a few moments to frame a shot.   She wasnt aware of the drone,  people mostly struggle to see and hear the Mini 3 Ive found.

Well I was waiting for the steam train that was cancelled although I didnt know that,  and Id been hovering  by the line waiting for it to come up and on the third battery the next train slowed right down just in front of the drone and then crawled on through,    I didnt think too much of it other than that would cause a 2 minute delay to the steam train.  Anyhow when I came in to land I realised Id had the landing light turned on.,  so I wonder if the train saw that and slowed down.

Well, that happens. They communicate abnormalities they see while passing. So maybe a previous driver noticed the drone and called in for a speed limit.
I have had this while I was filming besides the railroad (safe distance).
One stopped and opened the window, asking me to leave as it was causing delays.

Yeah, I never even thought about that. But it did make me reconsider my spotting locations.

For me it may have been a coincidence or the landing light triggered it.  I will be more careful next time.    But as I bet you know it's a bit of a rush when your battery swapping and waiting for a train.

For the Mini 3 I do have some cheap £3 strobes which have been quite good,  but this was the M2P and the C2 button triggers the landing light.

I'm not planning on getting them yet, unless the EASA requires it.

PS, I just checked and the national aviation legislation (which overrules the EASA rules) still has the daytime limitation for anything flying without a pilot, unless a permit has been given.

It’s funny how EASA disagrees with that isn’t it.
