I bought the DJI RC at the end of January of this year, since then I have been using it to pilot my Mavic Air 2s but lately I have noticed that the battery has very short life and just today I started flying with the battery of the 100% control and at the end of my first flight the battery had been consumed.
Fortunately, the drone was close (less than 100 meters) and I was able to return it without a problem, but I am very concerned that I could lose the connection in the middle of a longer flight and risk losing the drone, in addition for certain tasks as for example the recording a Hyperlapse the connection is required to remain throughout the entire process. Do you have any suggestions that I should check to resolve this?

Probably damaged cell.
1. 1st try to empty completely the battery of RC....just keep it open until is shutting down....then try to open it a few times until is not opening any more. Then put it to charging at a minimum 45Watt power (I use a laptop adapter with 60W) and leave it 3 hours... Try again to see if works. Do not repeat procedure, as emptying the cells completely will deteriorate the battery quickly, can be done safely only a few times.
2. Refresh your firmware...sometimes helps.
3. If 1 and 2 does not help, send it to warranty, as is a cell that cannot be balanced anymore and does not hold power.

Thank you for your prompt response. Just yesterday night I started a flight with 100% charge in the rc and 25 minutes after I finished it the battery was dead. Trying to correct it I synced my logs, refreshed the firmware and reset the factory settings on the rc but while I was working looking for a fix the battery went from 100 to 85% in less than 15 mins. I just made a flight this morning with my Air2s. Took off at both batteries (drone and rc) at 100%. Landed at around 20% pf the drone’s battery and found that the rc is at 50% or maybe less.
I uploaded flight records for you to review. Is there a  way to get a a replacement?

The rc controller should get at least 3 to 4 hours. If your is dead or low battery after 30 mins. Just replace the battery. It use cheap 18650 batteries. You can get like 4 of them on ebay for like under $15. And you will only need 2. Easy fix. Also idk why you worried you will lose your drone if the remote dies during flight. Dji drones are so advanced it will return home to starting point even if the remote turns off. Check youtube videos if u dont believe me.  Watch this.

Okay but not too many people are willing to dig into their RC to replace the battery. Similar to many phones on the market. With some, you can just pop the back off. With others, less user friendly.

Hi Admin Tony, The drone air 2s gives about 20 minute actual flight time and it goes to 85% and warning to return. And range of RC before signals goes weak is horrible. Can you please ask DJI to make a bigger battery, as this drone can take bigger battery, i personally dont think people care about weight as long as they get 1 hour plus. Also, an external anteena would be awesome sale. You would have many many people buying these.

Actually you do just pop the back side off. There are 4 small screws. 2 in the back behind the rubber thing you place the thumb stick and 2 screws on the bottom. Then you just pop off the back. Replacing 2 18650 battery is cheaper route than sending it on for repair.

Bought a Mavic 3 Pro last January, The RC remote battery started decreasing it's autonomy already 2 months ago but right now is getting ridiculous, lasting about 2 drone batteries, around 40 minutes of flight max. What should i do? For sure the battery life is not supposed to just fall down after 9 months of usage? How should i proceed since the drone is still under warranty? Thank you so much.

How old is the contoller?
How many charge cycles has the battery been through ?
How well has the battery been looked after i.e. how low has the charge been allowed to drop ?
Given that you appear to be  in Morocco ( and if relevant ) what would be the average temperature of the controller and more to the poing its battery ?

I have new Ronin RS4 Pro and the battery life is much wors than on my previous RS3 standard, i can film around 3.5/4H of the wedding with RS4 Pro while with the RS3 standard i filmed entire day... This issue is on another RS4 Pro of my friend, we use Sony A7S 3 and 24-70 or 16-35 lenses..
