It sure does.   It seems that steam locomotives are no longer used to transport passengers or products because electric and diesel locomotives are faster, more efficient, and easier to maintain. The few steam locomotives that are still running are a piece of history dating back to the 1800's that really put into perspective just how far we've come.

I've been on 3 different steam trains this year - and only two modern commuter ones

One of the better-preserved heritage railway networks I've seen so far.

Good video there. It must be admitted those old-timers have a certain charm in them the modern trains are sorely missing.

Glad to hear your week went great. I think these steam trains have way more charm and personality that the modern box-like trains just can't compare to.

Pretty busy myself as of now. I'll try to find an appropriate time to carry on with a couple of projects related to the Pocket 2, but a busy schedule and huge spikes in the costs of electricity in the couple of last days here have somewhat hampered the plans.

Not only did I get off the forum for the rest of the day I even took off from the forum yesterday.  I was able to shoot 10 rounds of practice (100 shots) and feel really confident now about having a good chance of winning.  I have to think positive.

I'm thinking so.  However, I did see him shooting today during an early morning session and he is pretty good.  His groupings are not quite as close as mine so hopefully that will score me more points on the day of the tournament.

Well the train was a little bit teasing this morning.    Firstly SWMBO'd rang whilst I was walking to say she ad checked the schedule and it was now earlier.   Someone that I then saw who Id told about it stops and says Id missed it.  On some quizzing it had gone down the line not up so I hadnt missed it.

Then having guessed how long it should take to get to me I deploy two drones in preparation.   Waiting watching the batteries drain I see smoke at the end of the line.   then it was gone.     a minute of two later it was back.   At this point Im sure it's coming.  But the smoke vanishes again.    I bring the M2P back for a battery change and return it to position.  

Another puff of smoke and then gone,    I decided to bring the Mini 3 back for a battery change,   I just get to start landing and this time I KNOW its coming,   so with only 45% battery left I rush the Mini 3 back to where I wanted it,  and started recording.
