Unfortunately, the maximum adjustable time is only 30 seconds, it would be good if longer exposure time was also possible. Especially for photos at night, this would be very useful.

I agree with you, but just wanted to mention

30 seconds is more than enough to light up a dark scene, longer shutter speeds are probably better used for daytime fine art photography .

I need 4-5 minutes exposure for astrophotography, to fully capture the faint details, but that is with a full frame Sony on a star tracker. I’m hoping to try with the Action 4 as a very lightweight compromise for a trip to the Sahara desert.
Do you think the 30 seconds maximum exposure is set to prevent the sensor / camera from overheating?

Hell no, 30 sec is enough to light your butt during the day. DJI made a joke with 30 seconds of exposure on action 3 and 4. So ridiculous. That's why I just ordered GoPro 12. It has a starlap mod. I was using DJI action osmo 1 for 5 years that had 120 sec exposure which was super cool but now I'm going to GoPro. Sorry DJI
