Just wondering if the Rec button can be used via the USB control cable? I have a C to Mini cable and when I first turn on the gimbal a message says, 'Camera control cable connected' but after a further 5 secs or so 'Camera control cable disconnected'. Is it compatible with the simple record stop/start? If not I'll have to rig up something with a LANC button.

No John, 'Fraid not! To date, the only use I've had with the gimbal and C200 is for live streaming so not recording! Out of interest what lens have you used on the RS3 Pro? I had my viewfinder removed by Canon in order to better fir the gimbal and currently use one of my two pancake lenses - 24 & 40mm. Nice and neat.
