Right.  I've figured it out now and have the answer.  I was thinking about bus-stops and that led me astray.  There's no bus route within quite a distance of this spot

Id been holding off posting that video but the deadline is 5pm today so had to pull the trigger on it.    Was it just that id been there that gave you the clue or did you see it in the video.

From the outset, I began thinking of possible places near there, as until then I wasn't aware you'd been to Winnats. That's when the penny dropped. I looked at another one nearby, but discounted it in favour of the correct one. Then when you actually flew over it towards the end, that confirmed it for me

Yes,  I saw the advertising for it.  It looked worth a look if we hadnt been on the route home.   

I hadnt planned to stop anywhere when left Colne,,  but as we were pulling away from the AirBnB SWMBOd asked where we were going.   A quick look at the map and Winnats jumped out at me,  and the other stops in your neck of the woods were based on seeing some signs on route.    SWMBOd did suggest Crosby for the iron men,  which I would have liked but I felt it was in the wrong direction for getting home.

Yes it was a wise decision. It can be an overcoat colder up there than on the south coast.

I've now confirmed your guess where No2.  It is where I thought it was - near the end of Spring Gardens in Buxton.  Last time we passed, there were builders vans, skips and scaffolding surrounding it.  Today, that's all gone.
