Hi all,

Desperately trying to update the f/w on my P3A before it gets returned... It won't accept the current files from DJI including 1.1.9, 1.2.6 and 1.3.2

Does anyone have the 1.1.9 file from when it was originally released? The thread reference below states that the original 1.1.9 f/w must be installed to allow future updates, and I'm wondering if this has something to do with my problem?

I know those are there guys but they don't work - I was wondering if they've changed the current/live 1.1.9 on the website to allow the firmware rollback feature.

Hence I was wondering if someone had the 1.1.9 from when it was first launched - I know I'm grasping at straws but I face either the retailer charging me (!!!!!) to sort out the firmware update or the unit's going back to Germany...

I have the one from launch day on my machine at home.. If you have issues with the one linked to I will upload it later..

If you could that would be great sploodge - none of the above are working...

I've even put 1.1.8 back on as that used to generate a txt file saying something along the lines of 'same firmware' - even that's not happening anymore...?

I'm at a loss...

Cheers Sploodge - and yep, same file - still not updating...

Just updated the controller so it's not the SD card.

Don't know what else to try? Is it possible to update Phantom via USB? Is there a hard reset for the thing?

If you did the controller, can you post the log file AND the log from the hidden directory /MISC/LOG

It doesn't - I get:

Aircraft Upgrade Required

Camera Upgrade Required

Still can't update f/w of the Phantom...

The about section should still show the current firmware version, strange..

Apart from maybe a dodgy card reader in the P3, cant think much else to try..

Maybe as it's only 1.1.8 perhaps?

I've no idea either. Phantom can write pics/vids to card so not sure about that one. It seems to me that connecting the DJI GO app has "done" something to the Phantom (of course I'm not sure if thats possible or not!) or it's a complete coincidence that something has 'broken' at the same time as the app got updated...

Don't think I have any choice but to return it now. Not happy though as the dealer has said they'll charge me if they're able to force a f/w update (not sure what else I'm supposed to try though!).

Ah well...

Maybe it will force it to start detecting firmwares again.. It would be a last ditch blind attempt IMO..

Still no joy - I'm coming to same conclusion - gotta be a faulty card reader in the gimbal and it can't see the files? Seems to be creating the hidden directories and writing images/videos though...

Ah well, back it goes...

More info... Just checking it on the bench again trying more SD cards. Can take pictures with camera, but when trying to take a video the app just beeps when you hit the record button and drops back to camera mode. There are MOV files saved on the SD but they are just a single frame...

How does one downgrade a P3A from 1.3.20 to 1.1.9?

I have both FW versions (bin files) from when I downloaded them.

The P3A worked a little bit this morning while flying, but 10 minutes into flight it stopped recording images. The screen did not go black, but the camera parameters all went to "N/A"

I've sent the P3P back for a refund and am now trying to get the P3A I bought direct from DJI to work.

Am unable to locate instructions for downgrading to 1.1.9.
