Love the sunset.. Very clean video.. Did you shoot in 1080? or maybe 4k and downscale?

Thanks buddy!

I shot in 1080p...I only have an advanced.  Would love to play with 4k but my computer isn't up to the task!

If you get footage like that with 1080 no need for 4k. Now 2.7 would be a nice middle ground

Yeah I'm so stoked for the next update!

I feel like 2.7 will be great to take care of an occasional prop appearance here and there too.

I notice so many videos on our forum taken against the light.
IMHO including the sun in the shot just throws everything into silhouette with very little detail or depth to the shot.
If you turn the camera even 90 away from the sun you will get far more depth in the video and more saturated colours, and 180 will give you all the detail that I'm looking for.
Maybe a short contre jour shot is nice but when most of the film is recorded this way it just lacks impact.

Subject is nice, I love the sea and everyone who enjoys it too.  And admire the Phantom fliers who venture out over the ocean, respect.

I loved the sunset, the silhouettes are what drew me in, sharply defined overall.  Sweet

This is really helpful, thanks. I didnt even consider how the camera may struggle against it. Is this something a proper ND filter can balance out by slowing the shutter or is it best to shoot behind the sun no matter what?

No real way around it. A ND filter might give you better exposure for the bright sun, but then the rest of the shots would be too dark. With this camera it is kind of a balancing act.

I shot in 1080/60 with the intent of changing it to 24 in post but apparently I am too inept to figure out how to do that so I left it in 60fps.
