I would like to find an easy and fast solution to be able to use my 70-200 Panasonic lens on my Ronin 4D. I will lock all gimbals and use a tripod, just want to be able to have the option of a zoomlens. I would need some rods and then someway to connect to the ring? I use a Sachtler tripod.

have a look into the flex cable ... you can put heavy lenses on the detached sensor/gimbal mounted  bullet  proof to a rod system. flex cable comes with a little clamp that will hold the sensor ... not the cheapest way to do it but ..

I don't understand why you can't just mount it on the tripod. The Ronin 4D has threads right on the bottom. I've never had any problem with it.

To mount it pn a tripod is no problem. The challenge is to mount a heavy 70-200 lens on it.
