Hi,

Trying to update my M3 firmware with DJI RC controller connected to WI-FI but all I get is an error message; “server error, wait a moment and try again”. I’ve been trying for several days on different WI-FI networks and keep getting this message. When I click on “update fly safe” I don’t get an error message and it says my database is up to date. That may be the case but my firmware is definitely not up to date. I’m trying to add the firmware which was just released Sept 5/23.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this would be much appreciated.

Thank you for confirming, Tillikum. Please try the following steps below:
1. Please check if the RC system date & time zone are consistent with the local time; if not, set it as the same to retry.       
2. It is recommended that to check your current network status, try using another network and log in with your DJI accounts again.
3. Please try to use the DJI Assistant 2 to upgrade the firmware. Make sure you download the correct series which is the DJI Assistant 2 (Consumer Drones Series).

I’ve checked the date and time and it’s correct.   I’ve also tried several different WI-FI networks.  Unfortunately it still won’t download the software update.   Perhaps you could email me the file and I could install it that way ?  Also, I tried to install the DJI assistant 2 on my MacBook computer.    Once installed, I got a message saying that the DJI Asssitant 2 is not compatible with the current MacOS operating system.   So it looks like the DJI Assistant won’t work either.

I’ve tried several wi-fi networks and non of them work. As stated previously, the date is correct.   Also, the Assistant 2 doesn’t work with current MacBook software. Basically, none of your proposed solutions work.   It seems as though the DJI software has some serious flaws which prevent Mac users  from updating Mavic 3 firmware.  Can you please check with your software and let me know what can be done to perform the required updates ?

Hello Again, after wasting a lot of time trying to perform the M3 firmware update with the DJI RC controller, without success, I tried my old N1 controller.  Fortunately that worked.  So I now have the new firmware properly installed on my Mavic 3.  In any case, DJI, should still address this issue so other users don’t have to waste all that time with the incompatible DJI software (DJI RC controller firmware update for M3)
