As the photo has been processed, it leaves less room for grading in post-production compared with D-Log, but you can more easily to color grade during post processing. I have a semi related question ... i noticed in the dowloads area that there is a DJI LUT for the Air 3 for D-Log M, but not for the Mavic 3 series.  And when I click on it, I get a 404 error in the browser... so DJI, is this broken, and why no conversion LUT for M for us M3 users?  Thanks

Its the same drone, minus the two smaller cameras for optical zooming.

There is a Dlog M to Rec 709 that I am using within Final Cut Pro with no problems.

No, dlog-M is only for video. Still images can be shot in jpeg and/or dng (raw).
Dng (raw) is also superior to dlog-m, since dng (raw) has 12bit data and dlog-m only has 10bit data.
