Hola !
I recently bought a DJI Osmo Action 4 but to my suprise, I can't use the product since it asks me to activate it with the use of an app, from a "smartphone" on Android or iOS (the only proposed way).
Problem #1 : I don't have a "smartphone".
Problem #2 : I installed the proposed .apk on the smartphone of a friend (a Huawei P smart 2019), but the app refuses to open.
In details, it opened the first time, downloaded some initial update, then freeze for ~2min before shutting down.
So far for now, I just own a small brick (not the cheepest).
I have the following questions :
1) Does it exist a legitim reason why to restrict the use to the owener for those type of product ?
Otherwise it seems like a violation of the freedom 0 of the user, aka the freedom of use.
2) Can we activate the device via an alternative way, like simply from a computer (but I'm on a GNU/Linux disto) or via a file from the SD-card ?
3) If not to the previous question, why restrcit the possibilities ?
Thanks for your light !
