I successfully registered my Mavic 3 Remote ID from FAA on Septmber 16.


My Mavic 2 pro and zoom are in the firmware updating list on Dec 31, 2023.


Whether DJI has any possibility for Phantom 4 Pro+ firmware update, so I can register a Remote ID  and don't need to by module？

Give it time.  The deadline got extended again, now March 2024.

What a pity!

In Ebay, an used Phantom 4 pro+ worth only 400 dollars,  so it is not necessary to buy a 300 dollar module with tons of troubles. In another word, people prefers to a naked Mini 3 drone for only about 500 dollars. Maybe people who have a Phantom 3 or 4 pro v1, Mavic or Mavic platinum, choose retiring the drone are the only way.

The Plus only means that the controller has a built-in display rather than using a cell phone. The aircraft is the same as the Pro V2.

Probably not. If there is no firmware update (as showed P4P Pro V2，firmware update will be on Dec 31th), you cannot register a remote ID, coz drone itself will not broadcast the remote ID signal.

Aftermarket RID units may be getting better.
