Why has 'Quickshot' feature discountinued? It was a great feature on OA2: press button and record a 30s (configurable) video (quickshot).

This way, you won't end up recording unnecessary content for longer periods. It's a great little feature.

Can you please readd to OA4?

Yes, exactly. OA2 had this convenient feature and I used it almost every time.

Quickclips are perfect, as normally we don't want to record longer shots, as we prefer more frequent cuts in post. Also, an action usually isn't longer than 30s, but on OA2 when quickclip was set to 30s, there was an option to increase this 30s during recording (if something importants is going to happen later than beginning of the record).

So quickclips are very convenient in the above scenario. Also it reduces the required button presses for a quick shot: press record button, then record the subject, and let the camera shutdown after the quickclip finished recording. = Total of 1 button press.

Without quickshot, we will have to press the turnoff button too to shutdown the camera after the shot.

That's actually 2 button presses. 100% more than with quickshots on A2.

Hi, you may see the introduction of Pre-Rec Mode below and see whether it can meet your request.

When Pre-Rec mode is enabled, the camera will prepare for prerecording according to the “Pre-Rec Duration”. When recording is triggered, the camera will continue recording the video at the end of “Pre-Rec Duration”.


This mode is supported only when “Video” mode is enabled. Setting options of “Pre-Rec Duration”: 5/10/15/30/60 s

* Operation path: On the camera interface, slide up at the bottom of the screen, tap the icon in the upper-left corner, and access the Pre-Rec Mode feature (positioned at the same menu level as the loop recording feature).

Presss hutter once, record 30 sec Clip, shut doen, till next use

Prerec is a different feature. It requires 2 button presses. I'm keen on pressing that record button only once and let the shoot complete after 30s then shutdown the unit without further interaction.

I also use three OA2 cameras and just bought a new OA3, and I was very surprised that there is no QuickClip mod, I want to buy two new OA4, but if there is no QuickClip for me, I only have the option to stay on OA2, I will add that I run a cycling channel on YT and for me QuickClip is a killer feature, 1 click and 15 seconds clip is ready, it is not safe to take your hands off the handlebars often, I really ask you to add it in new updates, thank you!

Any news? I often forget turning off the recording. QuickClip we are waiting for months already.

Why is it that hard to add a feature which is already developed for a 2 year earlier device?
