Looking at the photos of the Mini 4 the batteries look the same though as I'm typing that would be too good too be true

Watching a few reviews, batteries are compatible from the M3P.

If they gave you the option to buy just the drone no batteries and no controller I might be tempted

They are 4 gram lighter to fulfill the 250g limit. If you use the mini3 battery, you will have a message and shouldn't use it as a <250g uav.

Will be interesting to see what the weight is once it has been released and compared between both batteries types

Sadly only the Air3 controller would be compatible in this case.

That's so annoying did they do that on purpose, only other way round it is to snap off the front legs of the Mini 4

Curious as a lot of the M3P weighed in at 246grams so this difference would put it over the limit.

One problem that throws up is, try selling it without a controller. What you gain on the swings you’ll lose on the roundabouts…

Like the new batteries, the old ones are marked 249 grams.  Do you really think the drone police are gonna pull you over & weigh your drone?  If they do, are they really gonna bust your balls over 3 grams?

Quite and also there are no drone police

If you already have mini 3 batteries, you may keep it. Actually both have same capacities in terms of mah.
