Akarmara is a mining town abandoned about 30 years ago, where about 10 people still live permanently. This is a real ghost town. A place of pilgrimage for stalkers from all over the world.
I've been planning to get to this mysterious place for a long time... But something was constantly going wrong. Either the weather was unsuitable, or there was a catastrophic lack of time. And finally it happened. However, with some reservations...
There are several large waterfalls in the relative vicinity of this city, which I also wanted to shoot from the air. But on the way to one of these waterfalls, I cut the front wheel. As a result, it turned out to return to the abandoned city about thirty minutes before dark... It reminded me of the movie "Wrong Turn". The city was getting more and more sinister by the minute... I constantly had the feeling that someone was watching us... Add to this a pack of not the most friendly dogs. And the picture will be more than atmospheric.
Unfortunately, due to the rapidly approaching twilight, I managed to fly quite a bit. Therefore, I definitely hope to return to this place to shoot a full-fledged video.

It's a good idea. But it was getting dark. There was not the best visibility inside the premises. I could have lost the drone)) Next time I will try to arrive earlier and fly indoors too

Nice flying.    Too bad you ran out of time or flying inside some of those building would have been really cool.  What was the cause of all these building being abandoned?  War or some other catastrophic event?

It was a mining town. 30 years ago, during the war between Georgia and Abkhazia, people left their homes. In fact, there are several small locations for the flight. Next time I'll try to shoot an abandoned train station. And of course fly inside buildings.

Sounds like that next trip will be very exciting.  Might even see some old ghosts when you fly inside some of the buildings.

Unfortunately, at the moment, the restoration of all houses and infrastructure will cost an amount comparable to the construction of such a town in a completely new place
