I can’t get quick transfer to work between my Air 3 and my iPhone 15. The good news is that now I can plug the Air 3 directly into my iPhone 15 with a USBc cable and transfer using the Files app on my iPhone. The quick transfer established a connection but doesn’t show previews or begin to transfer files.
Hi, jeffbake. Thank you for reaching out and we're sorry for the inconvenience. Let me forward this concern to our relevant team for further checking. We'll let you know once we receive an update. Thank you.
Hi, jeffbake. Thank you for patiently waiting. Please follow the steps below:
1. Confirm if the app version and aircraft firmware are the latest. It is recommended to restart the aircraft, restart the DJI Fly app, and try to connect to the Quicktransfer again.
2. Clean up the phone's storage, if the phone's storage is insufficient, the transfer may fail.
3. Confirm whether you selected multiple footage to transfer at the same time. It is recommended to select a single photo and video file to try.
4. Turn off the mobile phone data or turn on the mobile phone "flight mode" to try.
Oh man, thank you for the tip to transfer using the files app. Literally saved me today.
I’m having the exact same issue with my Air3 and iPhone 15. No preview for the images and it won’t transfer or download via the quick transfer function. Everything is up to date and I’ve turned it all on and off, still no good.

I simply turned on airplane mode and it worked like a charm on my iPhone 15 Pro, all newest firmware.

I have the same problem with iPhone 15 pro max. I turned off the cellular connection and the previews of the photos and downloads worked.
You can be several reasons why you're unable to complete the data transfer to your new iPhone. Here are some steps you can try to fix the issue:- 1. Both iPhones Powered On & Unlocked:- Make sure both iPhones are powered on, unlocked, and placed close together (within a few inches) during the transfer process. 2. Bluetooth & Wi-Fi Enabled:- Ensure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on both iPhones. These are essential for communication during the transfer. 3. Using Quick Start:- If you're using Quick Start (iPhone to iPhone transfer), verify both iPhones are running the latest version of iOS. Outdated software can cause compatibility issues. Go to Settings > General > Software Update on both iPhones and install any updates available. 4. Using iCloud Backup:- If you're using iCloud Backup, make sure you have a stable internet connection on both devices. Also, ensure there's enough iCloud storage space to accommodate your backup. You can check your storage usage in Settings > Your Name > iCloud. 5. Force Restart Both iPhones:- A simple restart can sometimes resolve temporary glitches. Follow the restart procedure specific to your iPhone models. 6. Try Wired Transfer (Lightning to USB Camera Adapter Needed):- If wireless methods aren't working, you can attempt a wired transfer using a Lightning to USB Camera Adapter and a computer. This method might take longer but can be more reliable for large data transfers.
If you have problem persist after trying these step, follow for more details assistance below.
Jeff, I had the same problem with my 14 Pro Max. Basically the issue is cellular connection. That is what it boils down to so basically before you start the quick transfer process meaning connecting to the Drone) turn your cellular off on your cell phone. I just put it in airplane mode and make sure Wi-Fi is on! Cellular has to be off though you should be good to go after that

Correct turning off cellular connection for some reason will allow quick transfer to function properly…. DJI really needs to look into this. The only reason why I found this out is because I was stuck for about two hours trying to find a solution.
