tq very much for the detail guide thru. here's my problem. i've done this update bfore reading ur post.
1st i update the firmware. done. read the log file it says success.
2nd i tried to update the controller but nothing happened no blue light appear only green. i opened up the log file there is no log file. after i read ur post yes no need to upgrade the controller version.
3rd. i on the controller on the craft. open DJI Go. to confirm my update i checked it in the about menu...it says controller 1.3.20.......craft 1.4.0010.....dji go 2.10. everthing is correct.
so i try to get the intelligent flight mode i couldn't get. i have switch to f mode also nothing happen. but i can get the 2.7K resolution. so its the intelligent mode that i want...but its not there.

Just upgraded my Phantom 3 Pro.  Curious, did anyone else notice that the gimbal mount got nice and warm?

Beta firmware and that app ( DJI Ultimate flight) allows several good features INCLUDING offline waypoints and other features. What's the deal? If the beta firmware allows it then how come its disabled in the latest public release by DJI?

Yes. Got the same problem, also the 4 motors got a bit hotter than the older version.

My husband owns the P3 standard and I hope I'm reading right that you can get these new features like the follow me through the APP and thats why for 1 day they had the firmware on the website and then they pulled it down. He is furious at the moment thinking that they promised these features for the P3 standard and now they are not giving them.

thanks for responding and I hope when he gets home he'll know how to do this. I'm not familiar with the app at all, he's been doing everything. I just looked into these forums bc I saw how upset he was that he thought he wasn't getting the new features. I really hope he can figure it out. He's so excited about he follow me feature, he'll be devastated if its not for P3 standard

do you know if the copter will be messed up now that he installed the firmware that was there on the website 1.1.30? he put the sd card in the camera slot but nothing happened. it was waiting for you to fly like you did nothing to the copter. he's hoping he didn't mess anything up by doing the download. thanks for being patient!!!lol

Problem updating the transmitter, nothing happens when i turn it on with the usb stick in, its the same stick i use for upgrade everytime.
Update via app is not available.
P3 has successfully been updated to 1.4, and the app to the latest version.

Any suggestions?

Do you need to press the radio power button in special way? Dont remember from last time, says nothing the the document file...

Will be fine after being updated using the firmware file from DJI website..

Worth checking the "About" section of the app to see the version of firmware. Some have received their P3 Standard already updated.

On another note, I'm at ~40 minutes since inserting my SD card for the firmware update. Aircraft still in process of updating... should I be worried?
EDIT: I had moved my aircraft at ~33-35 minutes and did not check the light for 5 minutes or so. Light was green, log successful. Will update if further issues:

it seems nobody assist to my problems..anyway...i knew that my firmware was successful but yet can't excess the intelligent flight because i need to hover the craft above ground and switch to F mode and it worked!!!!! but when i land...dji go some how wont let me see the intelligent flight menu. even the logo itself didn't appear. my dji go is version 2.1. i think version 2.0 can excess intelligent flight modes when on ground. i hope these help others with same issue as mine.

4 - On the first two try it shows upgrading, but now it is always showing as failed.

Basically tried doing the new update and it keeps on failing. Have followed the steps and basically when i put SD card into camera then it starts out alright but after about 5 minutes get the long sound that it has failed. Something else i noticed now is that i cannot connect with the camera directly at all from controller. So i am not able to reformat card in camera.

Have tried two different micro SD cards including original SD card. Tried swapping out battery and waiting...just not working

Please help!

Wow that log does not look good at all. It seems like the firmware cannot detect a few modules that need updating ( device not detected ) parts..

I'm waiting to find out from DJI if there is a fix to this but if I were you, get onto DJI too..

DJI is impossible to get a hold of on the phone. They basically just disconnect me after waiting for 15-20min each time as call volume is too high.

Any tips or ideas to get someone to respond quickly.

I'm a pro cinematographer and i need my phantom back up and running soon for projects i have coming up in the next week.

I couldn't update the firmware. I'm guessing it's because my brand new 4k camera snapped off and I'm waiting for the new one to arrive. Must need that on there, right?

i wonder if we have updated to firmware 1.4.0010, is it possible to roll back to firmware 1.1.9?
as i remember, the previous 1.3.2.0 firmware only let us roll back to 2 latest versions, which is 1.1.9 & 1.2.6.
does this 1.4.0010 firmware still have this roll back limitation?
if so, then it would be impossible to roll back to 1.1.9, as now the 2 latest versions would be 1.2.6 & 1.3.2.0.

Hello. I have a doubt regarding thr P3 RC calibration. Can anyone explain me the exact steps of doing that? is there any video of such a calibration? (didn'd find anyone till this moment...).
I know it's done from the GO App... but what should we do with the stocks during the calibration?

i have problems upgrading my RC GL300B, it was working great until i made the last upgrade to my P3A.
1.- I upgraded the P3A successful
2.- Then my APP upgraded automatically and when i connect my ipad or android phone it says "Need to upgrade the RC", i click that option, begin download the FW, install it and says that i have to reboot my RC, so i turn off and turn on my RC and it show "No connection" in RED, and there is no video signal, and it says again "Need to upgrade the RC", so i did this a lot of times and nothings happens, it seem that the new APP version doesn`t keep the upgrade in my RC, or don't recognize it, so is there any way to get older APP, or what can i do?

Hi to everyone! Thank you for all the info. I have P3 Pro, succsessfully updated drone itself to the latest FW 1.4.0010. However my RC is still 1.1.8. Reply from DJI support was that I can update straight to FW 1.3.20. However still nothing happens when I insert a card with it and switch RC on. Anyone has any idea why?

what is your RC model? if you have the 300B, it can`t be updated from the USB, only from the APP, i am having problems when i try to update, because the APP don`t  recognize de upgrade

It's because the camera needed replacing.

I have GL300A, it was standard with my Ph3 Pro.

Problem has been solved the following way: just used another USB. First one I used that didn't work was 32GB micro SDHC card. One that worked was 64GB Leef flash drive. And it had other files on it. Still worked!

You will need to update it. Same process, just put the latest firmware BIN on the SD and urn the P3 on.. Takes minutes to do a battery..
