Your Camera is not showing connection to the craft, everything showing with version numbers is Came ...

about to send this thing back but they are saying 4-6 weeks.

Not sure how the camera would have gotten disconnected i haven't crashed. And it was working prior to the firmware update?

Hi Dave,

Give the update another go. Format the SD, download the firmware again and put the P3X_FW_ ...

So I just couldn't give up last night. I tried a few other things and finally remembered you had said try turning on then inserting sd card. Turned it on, loud beeping, inserted sd card and the lights started flashing green, red. put the damn thing in my garage so I didn't wake the family and sure enough after a few minutes it stopped beeping. After about 15 minutes it finished the upgrade. Now comes the kid in me ..... I started playing with it in demo mode through my ipad and totally forgot to check the update on the card. One of the things I did was reformat the card through the controls. So I still don't know if it did the proper upgrade.  I also upgraded the controller. It seems to be the new FW because of some of the selections on the DJI go app but not 100% sure. Is thee a way to check through the app?

By the way, thanks so much for all the help you are giving not just to me, but to the UAV community.

1: Phantom 3 Version Advanced
2: App Platform IOS. Latest version.
3: Mobile Device type iPhone 6 plus.
4: Update log TXT files.
Delete history success.

I had the same results as elisaraustola. There was no previous firmware bin on my microsd card, only the newest one. Can you explain why there is so much information in the txt file? To make it more complicated my son has the same bird, P3A and we always update the same time. (same procedure) The txt file from his microsd isn't that long as mine. However the result is the same. Both P3A's are updated successfully. {:3_57:}

I'm having issues with updating my Phantom 3 Pro.  I was able to update my Inspire without any issue ...

Air End decoder error again, fairly common, leave the P3 off for half an hour with the battery out, re download the update again, this time format the SD card in the P3 camera then put it in your PC and place the new downloaded fw file on it and try again.

Since FW V2.6 DJI now stores the update log in the craft and it keeps a permanent record of its update history, when ever it writes the update log in now includes the whole history.

You just have to scroll straight to the bottom to see the latest log input, its very handy to be able to see whats happened in the past,

I update my firmware last week to the most recent and then had a minor crash Saturday morning into some bushes. Now when I try to fire up the P3 there are no lights under the wings and long loud beeping that changes sequence throughout it's beeping. I have read all kinds of threads in different forums and have done everything from reformatting cards, reinstalling the firmware (it will not take) and even installing the app and reinstalling that. I can get a connection between the RC and the craft and it even say safe to fly but can't get it to fire up if I try. It doesn't seem to show any data on the craft either. I can't even try do an IMU check or recalibration as that option is gray and it will not let me choose either the IMU check or calibrate. I've see worse crashes and people figure it out and get it up and running. I have had no such luck. I just tried putting the latest (same as before) firmware back on the craft and it seems to be going good at first  with the light on the gimbal plate going from red to green etc and the sound is like an update is taking place then all of a sudden the sounds goes into it's constant loud, long and varying beeps and the light goes a constant red on the gimbal plate. I'm at a loss and can't find anyone else who has solved this problem that I'm having.

Check to make sure the little ribbon cables connecting the gimbal to the aircraft and gimbal to the lightbridge is connected properly.. Might have come loose from the crash.

Hi all:

I own about 2 months a P3A, and until last week i was flying very happy with fw 1.1.9.

Las week i update the P3A to 1.4 and RC (300A) to 1.3.2.0fw. All with success.
Cool down the P3A and then the fast i could, made a IMU calibration.
2 things happen:

- First, a "Warming" info for about 20/40 seconds.
- Other, when pushing right stick only forward, it drifts to the left....sometimes. You can test it near you pushing forward and then backward and see if make a perfect line or not.

Apart that, everything seems to work well, even with some trouble connecting it the first minutes (seems normal of fist flys after a update, or first flys).

Next, in the early morning make a new IMU and did drop the compass values from +- 1700 to 1500. Still on a short fly, i had impression that it slight flys to the right. In all occasions there was no wind, or it was very week...

Other thing very unpleasant with DJI:
- I upgrade from 1.1.0 application on Android to the last one (2.1.0) with the advantage of POI and new features...BUT...when i enter on HD options, i don`t have anymore Auto/Custom channel options!!! Even adjust bitrate of video quality did disappear!

Im from a European Country. Some users report the same problems on other forums..... the slight drifting.
At this moment i did install 3º Party software to have access to POI, and pretend to re-install 1.1.0 app of DJI, because DJI change (magical) ideas and remove the options for users.


P.S. - Im a poweruser android betatester, before buy P3A i had a small Hubsan, and i read a lot on foruns and did inform well about procedures, and so far, almost 15 flights without a single crash error.
Im also radio ham, CT2HOW
Also, i ask here, if i we have the option of return to 1.1.9fw, just in case.

After successfully updating the firmware on the aircraft, I attempted to switch on the controller but to no avail. Thinking the battery was run down, I plugged in the RC but the LED began showing a solid red with the other lights blinking four times then two times then a pause. It cycled through in this manner constantly. What now?
Any help is appreciated. I appologize if  this is not the correct thread.

Hi there,
I cannot unzip the new firmware v1.4 -  the aircraft doesn't recognize the bin file to update to it. Have tried unarchiver and archive utility. Have tried reformatting the sd card. Went through the motions of updating it by pasting the bin file onto the thing but just said successful update to the previous firmware update.
Any ideas how to unzip this package?

Have you tried another SD card ?

Try the folllwonig Leave the battery out for 20m , then download the file from DJI again and format the SD card and put to on,

With out the SD card in turn the P3 on and the controller with the tablet connected, let it connect, once connected turn off the P3 and controller, then put the Sd card in and try again,


If that does not work try the update with the controller turned on, turn RC on first then the P3 with the card in

Let us know.

Hi there. trying to update my P3 Advanced. Aircraft and controller still on 1.2.8. Where do i need to start to get everything up to date? Downloaded 1.4.10 to sd card and installed into aircraft. IS the correct file to your P3?

First time i try...nothing happens until i found i did get the wrong file....stupid simply things....lolol

The RC:
You can only update with 1.3.2.0. The 1.4 wont work. Put it on a PEN and turn ON the RC. Or try update using APP of DJI...

Firmware update failed on the Phantom 3 professional.  I put my spare memory card into the drone which had (unknown to me) still the older 1.3.2 firmware update bin file still on it.  (the drone was already updated to 1.4.0010).  I turned off the battery on the drone as soon as I heard the machine dddd update noise but I guess it was too late...

After I turned the drone off I downloaded and replaced the bin file on the memory card to the latest 1.4.0010 version and inserted it into the drone and tried to turn on the drone to update the firmware from scratch but it won't update. In fact it won't even turn on without constantly beeping loudly at me .

Is that what they call bricked?  I hope not.

Can I fix this myself?  Any suggestions?  Surely theres a way with a usb cable or something to fix this?

Just leave it for 10 minutes or so and the loud alarm will go away, it will then continue updating as normal ( just wait for the SOLID GREEN light on the gimbal )

I would think its time to contact DJI ( or dealer if you got it from there ).. As if now I don't think there is a way the user can fix the "Air End Decoder" issue..

Firmware 1.4.10 upgrade failed.

Device 15 and device 8 not detected, upgrade aborted.

DJI Go App shows Aircraft FW is 1.4.10 ...

But i have no cam picture. Craft did work before with 1.3.20 without problems. Support suggests to use a new SD (what I did) and to change location (what I did) but without success. Upgrade starts and after about 20 seconds it stops with constant red LED and noisy constant brrrr sound.

Switching craft on before / after remote etc does all not work. Gimbal and cam are not damaged.- No crash with PH3 yet.

1: Phantom 3 Pro
2: App Platform IOS, latest version iOS and App
3: iPhone 6
4: Update log TXT files (inclusing one in the hidden /MISC/LOG folder). On demand.

Here are my log files. I have run the update multiple times and get the failure. I have tried to remove the battery for 15+ minutes, I have used full battery. If I remove the bin file I can boot up and it shows the correct versions but the battery says it needs updating. I did not run the previous updates.

I have a curious question before I begin my upgrade:
I downloaded the files to my Dropbox account from a PC. When I get on my Galaxy Note I will download these and unzip. Will this work?

P3P loaded fine several weeks ago. Tested poi and worked fine. The firmware update causes weak signal or no signal on my iPad mini. Aircraft also drifts with this new app even after cold I up cal. Also have tilted gimbal on horizon now.
