When?

I want a Mavic 3 Pro/RCpro , but I'm not going to invest in one now that O4 transmission has been out for a while.  How long do you think I'll be waiting for that RCPro2 to come out?  

42 days.  Maybe more, maybe less.  Or hold out for the RC Pro 3

Because only two of their drones currently support the O4, I don't think DJI will bring the RC Pro 2 before they bring another new drone like an Air 3S.

They'll probably release the RC Pro 2 when they release the Mavic 4.

given that the Mavic 3 series was initially released in late 2021, it is a fair assumption that a Mavic 4 may arrive in late 2024, if the mavic 2pro and its  3 year cycle is anything to go by. so my assumption would be that an RC Pro 2 would arrive with that or shortly afterwards

The Mav 3 will never be compliant with O4 so it won't matter. Wait for the Mavic 4 Pro if you want.
