I hope everyone is soaring high! I recently got my hands on the splendid DJI Mini 4 Pro and have been thoroughly enjoying exploring its functionalities and capabilities.

A topic that’s been buzzing in my mind, and seemingly in the minds of several other drone enthusiasts, revolves around the support for 3rd party applications for advanced drone mission planning on the DJI Mini 4 Pro. Applications like Litchi, DroneDeploy, Dronelink, and MapsMadeEasy have been fundamental in enhancing and simplifying mission planning on various DJI drone models in the past.

My key questions to the DJI team and the community are:  

• Is there an anticipated timeline for when support for these applications will be rolled out for the DJI Mini 4 Pro?
• What are the current alternative options available for detailed and customizable drone mission planning on this model?
  

Your insights and any available information on this matter would be immensely valuable to myself and likely many others in the community. Thank you in advance for shedding light on this topic and keeping our missions flying high and smooth!

Hi there. Thank you for reaching out. Due to the limitations of DJI RC 2 performance, it is not possible to install third-party applications, and there is no open-source for installing third-party applications. Thank you for your understanding and support.

NO ONE from dji will answer your key questions and for others it would be PURE speculation as to what will show up in the way of 3rd party solutions.

Keep asking questions like these, and soon, you are going to be another disappointed DJI customer...

Plus if you pay attention, the answers you get, are mostly never actually related to the question...

Some of the forum staff's answers do appear canned and there is a perfectly good reason for this, it's because they answer the same or similar questions time and time again, therefore,  using canned responses makes perfect sense and you will find that the majority of support systems use canned responses, the main one is "Hello (your name is automatically using code), how may i help you?". Many use systems like Kayako or Zendesk both with built-in canned responses, I use to Kayako for one of my sites

I believe that Paladin answered this question in its entirety, whether canned or not.

Mini 4 SDK support has been confirmed by DJI but with no ETA apart from first half of 2024.   See for the source - https://github.com/dji-sdk/Mobile-SDK-Android-V5/issues/164

I recently purchased the Mini 4 Pro.  This drone is a great hobbyist drone.  Lots of cool stuff.
