I updated my Google Pixel 7a to Android 14 these days and now tried to start DJI Go4 again to fly my Mavic Air. But it keeps crashing immediately, the splash screen does not even show up. I also tried deleting the cahce, restarting the phone, stopping all apps on the phone, I even de-installed Go4, booted the phone and re-installed the APK from the DJI server, but no change.

The combination of Go4 and Android 13 worked quite well before.


Are there any plans to support DJI GO4 on Android 14 soon?
Or does anyone have a workaround to get it started?

Any help appreciated!

(1) Please clear the mobile phone cache and ensure that the mobile phone has enough storage available (10G or more is recommended). Hard restart the mobile phone.
(2) Check the App version, if the app is not the latest version, then it is recommended to update the app to the latest version.
(3) Download from the official website.

If the issue persists, please provide the following information for us to further check:

(1) App version, aircraft model, and relative firmware version.
(2) The mobile device model and system version.
(3)What is the operation that caused the crash? Please provide an abnormal screen recording.
(4) Provide the time when the crash occurred (to locate the log).
(5) Exported crash log.
(6) Please export the bug report.

Hello,

The App ist DJI-v4.3.54_221028-1164-36655_official_sec.apk. This should be the latest available version as of now.  

M phone is a Google Pixel 7a with Android 14, UP1A.231005.007.

I did deinstall, reboot, install several times, no effect. I also renamed the existing DJI folder (from the previous Android 13 version) to get it out of the way - no change.

I also added all necessary permissions to the Go4 app, no effect.

Unfortunately the app is not even able to create the DJI folder, so I don't have a CRASH folder.

Looks like the App does not start at all.

Same issue with pixel 6 pro. Was already a nightmare to get it working on Android 13 as the newest release has been broken and only an older one worked...

Do I understand you correctly. Older version of go4 is working with android 14 und Pixel 6? If so, where can I get the older version?

Sorry, no crash or error report.
I am using a Magic Air (1) by the way. But the issue appears even before connecting the aircraft. So it is independent of the drone.
I recorded a video, starting from the installation, starting the app several times and then showing the file explorer: the app did not even create the DJI directory.

By the way: Great that DJI still cares about this issue, thanks for that! I'm a professional software developer and I know what it means to maintain software which is older than 7 years!

@DJI Gamora: Did you find the time to review my video? (See my previous post.) Since other users report the exact same issue, I am sure it is easy for you to reproduce it on any Android 14 phone. So, can you please report any status or even progress?

I have just updated my phone to android 14

The app dji go4 crashes ad startup.software.

Please fix.

Pixel 6a with Android 14, same issues as everyone else... App keep crashing at launch

Exactly the same problem as all those above - instantly crashes when started. No logs can be found.

Mavic Air 1 running latest official app version on Pixel 7 Pro on Android 14.

It was running fine few weeks ago (before upgrading to Android 14).

This should be easy to reproduce given the prevalence of the reports from those that upgraded.

Can you please provide an update?

Same with me. Pixel 7 pro worked fine on Android 13 and now does not work after 14 update.

Same here doesn't work, constant crashes at launch, cleared, reinstalled nothing helps. Pixel6 (I did have the transmission issues with Android 13 so in theory it didn't work before either). I will probably never purchase a DJI Product again, this is silly.

Android Developer Previews are available quite early. It's a shame that a company as big as DJI does not run those basic checks on their apps: Even if it's not longer the newest product.

Same Problem on My Pixel 6 Pro

Same problem with Pixel 7 after Android 14 update. App fails to load.

Same issue as most of the above posts.

Pixel 7 pro... on Android 13 it seemed to work ok but after the Android 14 update, the app will not even open, just crashes immediately.
A bit of a let down as I learned of this issue while on site trying to capture the roofing of a future project.

Hope this is fixed or at least a work around is found, *fingers crossed*

Any update on when a working version of Go 4 will be available?

Using a pixel 6 on android 14, DJI go 4 will not even open, this is incredibly frustrating to have to mess around SO much every time an app is updated, definitely will never buy a drone again. Please fix this issue

I can confirm this. DJI GO 4 crashes immediately after starting the app. There is no error log. The DJI Logo appears for half a second, than it's over. I also would like to know when DJI GO 4 ist ready for Android 14. It worked fine with Android 13.

This is ridiculous! I have Mavic2Pro -this is not a cheap dron, you take the money and after that not provide any support.  

I confirm that after updating the system to Android 14, DJI Go4 stopped working.
The application does not start.
My phone is -> google pixel 6a
