I have both the RC and RC2 and I can assure you both are 700 Nits and neither is brighter than the other.  My RC Pro controller is definitely much brighter at 1,000 Nits.

Nice Review. Great upgrade from the Mini 2 to the mini pro 4, but seems like a refinement like he said from the mini pro 3 to the mini pro 4.

I don't understand why you have posted this, obviously the Mini 4 Pro has additional features that need to be explained in the manual.

How true ,700 nits is 700nits period.

Like most reviewer, he just didn't get to the last fw update that removes the 120m restriction. What will happen after will be the same for all DJI mini.

Thank you for your feedback. Some mobile phones do not support playing MOV format, which may cause the recorded MOV video cannot be played normally, while MP4 format has better compatibility with most devices, so it supports MP4 video format only. Thank you for your understanding and support

While I agree that it is a helpful review, I do disagree with one point.  He endorses the practice of not applying future software updates in order to prevent DJI applying EASA height restrictions.  That specific case aside, I think we have a duty to keep software up to date.  We are flying an aircraft and it will have bugs and safety risks that are cleaned up during its lifetime.  We may also have a legal responsibility to keep it updated, either because of local regulations or because of our insurance policies.  Would you fly in an aircraft which was no longer receiving updates from its manufacturer? Probably not.

If you want to deliver true HDR contents, HLG is the only mode you can use.
If you want to deliver SDR contents and if you can spend some more time in post-processing, DLOG provides an increased quality vs Normal.

They both show 700 nits on the spec sheet, but having used two RC's and 2 RC2's as my buddy has one, I believe DJI has done something to the display software as I had trouble using the RC's in bright sunlight and the RC2's are an improvment for me to the point that its no longer an issue.

Thanks for sharing. I wish, like others,  the RC2 controller had a brighter display. In the bright sunlight the display appears dim and dull. It pushed me into a brighter display with the Triplek 9 tablet with 1200 nits display. Adds bulk but at least I can see what I am recording.
