I might be a bit late to the party on this and I'm not sure if it's been covered before (I did search back a little and found nothing).

The new voice of the DJI Fly system is just plain wrong. It's not got the same authority and the phrases have such a weak meaning. The old "The home point is updated - please check it on the map" is gone and replaced with nothing of much value.

Where has the old voice gone for the system, I'd really like it back!

Hi, CloudVisual. Thank you for reaching out. In the past, many pilots complained that the default voice is very robotic that's why the new voice (Xiaoice) has been implemented. With Xiaoice, every time you take off and land, there will be a gentle voice to remind you, so that every flight experience has a pleasant listening experience. In addition, many novices could only understand the lecturer's courses through subtitles when they studied at DJI Academy, but for learners, this experience is not friendly. Therefore, We have added English dubbing to help you learn the aerial photography course more easily at DJI Academy.

Currently, there's no way to revert the old voice back with the new version but we will take it as a suggestion of yours and will forward it to our relevant team. Thank you for your kind understanding.

We, the "old hands", didn't listen to every word anyway...
We hear the phrase with the "homepoint" as readiness to start, nothing more...

The new voice,   Ive been convinced not to get the Mini 4.  It doesn't add anything over what I can already do with this Mini 3 Pro.

I'm still not convinced to switch to the Mini 4 Pro because I think I'll use many of the new features far too rarely. At the beginning it was fun to try out a lot of things, but later it will certainly not be used as often. And once again to invest such a high sum is also not coherent for me. I have now watched some comparison videos but in the end they are all not clear enough for me in their statements. The best thing would probably be to be able to make up my own mind, but that is not possible if I do not have a M4P to compare it with my M3P in peace. And with all this testing much time and energy is lost, which I would rather use for real flying and filming.

For me theres very little camera improvement which was the main thing I was looking for,  what little improvement there is I can do in post anyway.    The waypoints feature I already have a method to do that on Mini 3 anyway with Hyperlapse with raw turned on.

Then the other features like active track I just dont use,   technically in the UK we cannot fly the drone and do something else like drive or cycle so Id still need someone else with me,   and of course Mini 3 already has active track which im not using today.

I will wait for something that would make my life better like the 360 vision system they brought to the Mavic 3 so I can see around the drone better why getting into a tight spot or flying sideways but apart from that I'll be waiting for Mini 5.   And not forgetting Im making that choice when I can get a free one from Argos.

That sounds interesting, could you explain in more detail how that works ?

Waypoints I find quite good but for me not a must have

I setup a waypoint mission under hyperlapse with raw turned on.  this way when the waypoint mission runs it saves the dng files too.    Usually I setup a couple of waypoints at the target I want and then cancel the mission.    You end up with extra shots but digital files are easy enough to through away,  although as GPS is not as accurate on these consumer drones as people think having a few extra to get alignment right can be helpful.

I agree, the new voice is cold and bland - the original one was cool and futuristic and super easy to understand.  I'd like the old voice back please
