New to drones.  Just bought my mini 4 pro and when I first activated it and ran through the first flight checks, I noticed that it flew left faster than right.  Am I supposed to tune it so it moves left and right at the same speed?

Where was the wind, if any,  coming from?
Their speed relative to the air is limited/controlled by how much they tilt, if the tilt is at the permitted maximum into a 'head wind' then their ground speed can be reduced.
At a guess there is an artificial hirizon available 'in' the map in the lower left corner, that artificial horizon will show how much tilt the drone is having to use to comply with your commands.

nah, for the blue `s it will fly faster to the left, for the red`s it will fly faster to the right   ;-)

So it was when I first started it up and it goes through the preflight checks…up, down, forward, backwards and left and right.  I noticed it went faster to the left than right.  No wind that evening.

So my setting was as per the initial instructions…N. Could it be that there was an obstacle in the way? I noticed that it almost fights you if you try to fly it too close to an obstacle. I’m going to check today and see if that was what it was.

10 bucks says it was wind above you didn't notice where you were. I often fly a bit out and back just to ensure which way the wind is blowing before I fly 10 miles out for that important photograph of the FAA building...

I think it was the obstacle avoidance system. Guess it’s overly protective.

It was….me standing in the way.  Obstacle avoidance system works well.
