Flying with an audience.....


Had a nice pre dawn flight this morning,    when I realised I was surrounded in sleeping cattle,  that as I returned to land they awoke and came to watch,   one in particular was very interested in the drone and stood very still and followed it in the air as I can down to land on the wall.

The cow on the right was so funny,  I dropped down to about cow head height and then moved left and right and he kept following the drone with his head.    Not bothered at all,  probably thinking thats a big fly.

These are red poll cattle and they are so gentle,   they were specially selected to be good with the walkers who come through the field,   although so many people get really scared by them and dont believe me when I tell them about it.

I remember feeling pretty scared myself when walking towards Moyne Friary in Ireland (video up just now) as there seemed to be a few young males about...

Years ago they had a different species there and they chased me out of their field on a couple of occasions,

The old species they had there were scary.    But the thing that freaks me out is the holes they cut in their stomachs in some countries,  luckily not here.
