I was in the process of renewing my FAA registration and found out that I now need a Remote ID number for my Mavic Air 2.  Evidently the remote ID became available with the latest firmware update on 9/25/23.  However, after the update I could not find the number anywhere in the APP.  I contacted DJI customer service and found out for the Air 2 the remote ID number is the drone serial number with 1581 added to the front  and 0 added to the back.  So if your serial number is XXXXXXXXXX, your remote ID number is 1581FXXXXXXXXXX0.  Obviously, this is for the USA only.

• Remote ID Serial number inside the DJI flight control app
• Remote ID Serial number inside “Available networks” of the WLAN Not

Thank you for the reply.  My whole issue was that after I did the firmware update, I could not find the Remote ID number in the APP.

Yea I am getting that too.

Be sure the SN on your FAA drone account matches the SN in the app. Mine was missing a 3 on the FAA website.

Hi there. Thank you for reaching out and we do apologize for the trouble. Please make sure to download the latest firmware version on your aircraft via DJI Assistant 2 software. Also, update the DJI Fly app on your mobile device or controller to the latest version then check if the issue persists. Please keep us posted.

Hi there. Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, you cannot apply for the Cx certification for the Mavic Air 2. However, you can fly it in the A3 environment. We appreciate your understanding.

There are Restrictions in the EU where any Drohne has to be Remote ID enabled. The is no "Option" to fly any in the "A3 environment"! So also the Air 2 has to be EASA Conform.

I wanted to know what DJI is doing to protect the thousands and thousands of drone users that will be affected by the new ban law that will not allow us to use a fly our drones???? Considering the investment is a lot and we will be seriously affected.

hi, I also have DJI Mavic Air 2 and want to keep flying it without any additional devices on it. I have watched several videos and read several articles saying that I should be able to enable RID with the latest firmware update but even with the latest update I wasn't able to find it anywhere. Even the DJI fly app says it is under a security section but it is nowhere to be found. So I want to know how can I enable RID on my mavic air 2 because I want to avoid fines as the RID is mandatory in EU.

Hi, I have the same question. I have Mavic Air 2 and the application seems to be doesn’t support adding a registration number.
Could you please inform us whether this will be supported and when?

DJI just dont´t care about Air 2 drones anymore, just forget they will not answer and simply tell´s you that you have to fly A3, that shows the total lack of respect with EU customers, and please pay attention most recent model owners, tomorrow you´ll be in our place!

Is DJI ignoring the Mavic Air 2 owners?I am from Romania and I do not even have support for my country.....but they are selling their products....
