Just took a NEW one out the box, press button and two middle lights, light up.  and that's it.
Wont charge either.


Thoughts?

Someone here had their battery do the same thing after an unsuccessful battery firmware upgrade. Middle lights turning on only. You can try hooking it up to the assistant (if it powers on) and upgrading or reinstalling the latest battery firmware. Cant think of anything else, perhaps someone from DJI responds here.

That's normal right out of the box, before charging.
If it wont charge, press the bottom to turn the battery on, then attach to charger.

I tried that, nothing.   thoughts?   just two middle light on, nothing more.  when I used assistant software says NON Dji battery.

Did you buy the battery from a DJI dealer? There are many clone batteries being sold that will NOT work in the Phantom. They look like the DIJ battery but only in appearance.

YES 100% official battery, I have had many ships & 10+ batteries with no issues.
Just seems really odd.

Push button two center lights are on, and in assistant is say NOT compatible battery.

So it happened when you first use it?
Maybe you got a damaged one. Reinstall the latest battery firmware, if still no help pls contact your dealer ASAP.
