Went out on my scooter yesterday, just riding about looking for something I have never
filmed or photographed before. Shadows were long, days are getting short. these were taken at around 3.30 in the arvo.

Rice. In the last photo, they cut the rice by hand in a few spots where the machine could not get to. Then they feed it in by hand

Interesting...I don't think I have ever seen a machine for harvesting rice before.

I wondered if that was the crop, thanks for the confirmation.  

Very impressive collection of shots.    Lots of nice shadows in them also.  

Is that rice that's being harvested?  A great series of shots.

Yep. Our local rice is really good, not the best maybe but so nice. (if you like rice that is)
Until I moved to Japan, I thought rice was rice. But after eating it from all over. Region and type
makes a huge difference.

Much like many crops, I imagine. Or wine for example. Great variation from region to region.
