A wet day to visit Glastonbury Tor.....

Ironically we hadn't planned to stop here,  in fact I wasn't even aware we would be pass so close so when it popped up on a sign we had to take a quick detour.  Sadly parking for the Tor is a real pain, as they want you to park and bus to get there,  luckily we found a small lane where we could fly from,  and the local farmer came over for a chat and as most impressed with the drone.

Cheers Depp,  luckily I had a teatowel in the car to dry the Mini 3 when on return,    it just started to rain as I found an out of the way place to park.

thanks DT.   It does make me want a drone thats better rated for rain now though,   I do get a bit stressed when I came back and had to dry the drone off.

Im hoping Mini 5 has a weather proof rating,    Id would give me some peace of mind flying in the rain.

You're very welcome.  I've never really checked into the "rain suits" for drones yet.  Actually I rarely fly in rain but I've been caught out a few times while on the return flight.

Unless something happens with the Mini 3 I wont be getting a Mini 4,  Ive been back and forth on it and I really cant justify it,  maybe if I filmed more but from what Ive seen we can get 95% of the quality in film as the 4 with a bit of post processing.

Thanks for that observation. It reinforces my decision to stick with the Mini3Pro - at least for the present.

The other selling points on the Mini 4 like active track and waypoints I already have an inferior version and never use AT,  and for waypoints my workaround of using hyoperlapse with raw turned on works fine for the odd occasion I want it.

I doubt I'd use Active Track either.
And for waypoints I have the M2Z and Litchi.

Same but with the M2P.   But if you just want to photo a single place over multiple days/weeks/months etc the waypoint hyperlase will do that.  You just let it take a few shots and then cancel the mission.

Im not and considering I can get one for free from Argos I think that tells me something,  I'll save the free one for the Mini 4 Ultra next spring.

I'm betting DJI hasn't been able to figure out a way around the waterproofing issue without causing overheating of the internal electronics.

I think it's worse on the Mini drones as they rely on air flow for cooling unlike the bigger manics that can have fans.

Guess not having a fan on the Minis was one way DJI opted for to keep the weight down.  The feel of the plastic on the Mini 3 Pro and the Air 3 are day and night difference.

Ive just washed my Mini 3,  the light colour is really showing the dirt,  although where the dirt is coming from is a mystery.

I can't say that I've ever "washed" my Mini 3 pro but I have wiped it down on occasion when flying near any sandy areas.  I've even used one of those computer air cans to blow out the motor windings.

I just used a wet wipe style cloth to clean it.

Looks like it was well timed to beat the deluge DAF.

That was taken in the rain,    I had to dry off the poor little drone on its return as it was quite wet.

No problems,   I use the ones for cleaning the kitchen,  they have a bit more cutting power.

No doubt.  We see a lot of imported products but most come from Asia.
