Waiting for the sunrise......


Back to the old routine this morning,  although it was dark dark dark and my new strobes died too quickly,  Ive since found that are fussy about which USB-C charger they are plugged into,   thanks EU for mandating that horrible non standard.

About the same here,    tried flying sideways to frame a shot and could barely move against the wind.

The last one with the cow I think was rather fun but so far no one else agrees.

No one loves the cows,     I didnt even know they were there when I stopped for the first flight,   then I heard a long stream of water hitting the ground and I realised I was surrounded.

Yeah, that is a dead give away that either a cow or a horse is nearby.    I don't dislike cows but after growing up on the farm I've just seen enough of them to last a lifetime.

These are Red Poll cattle and they are very calm,  unlike the previous species they had up there which have chased me out of their field before.

Thanks Mr B.    I was up extra early this morning to beat the rain,  but sadly the rain also beat the forecast to it by 2 hours.    Hoping it stops early too.

All all you need is a camp chair and a thermos of coffee to complete the shots DAF.

I got a small thermos for coffee Bruce but I only take it when it snows or at least is really cold.  I usually have an expresso from my bean to cup machine before I leave and one when I get home.

Today might be the day for me to start my first painting.   Been many years since I did any and I just picked up some fresh oils and water colours.

Mrs.B  had an artistic spell some years ago.  Produced some nice results too.
I'm not much good at that, but our grand-daughter is very talented.

I'l just be painting more abstract pieces myself.   And small,    my initial plan is just 3.5" square.

I saw someone else work on that size and its inspired me to pick up a brush again.  They even had a version with a really simple free standing mount.


Like this but I'll be more abstract.     These were £90 each

She's had her work exhibited several times - once in Glasgow several years ago, which we went to see on our travels.
