Well done to Mr @Blériot53 for guessing this one right and being the inspiration from earlier in the year for discovering this place,  if only by chance.

If I understand correctly,   it shines three lights that appear differently as you come up the Bristol Channel.    Thus you can steer the boat based on what lights you see and avoid running aground.

I wonder if it ever gets washed over at high tide when there are storms raging?

It was quite tall,  but I dont know too much about the area and the tides,   I made enough wrong assumptions that day about tides.

I did actually,    buy only from the puddles,    I managed to split the side of my favourite walking shoe., which I have walked to death and not got around to breaking in the replacements for them.

No these are proper walking shoes.   They needed to be retired as Ive warn through the rubber sole in places.

My walking boots are Mammut,  but these are just a lightweight walking shoe that I tend to live in.

My everyday trainers are Stormgrip - bought from a high street outdoor clothing outlet that was closing down.  I usually get about a year out of them before replacement is needed.

More about guiding ships through the channel so they dont run aground.

The funny story was Mr B suggested we took a trip to Burnham (on Crouch) and when I search IG for inspiration on Burnham this light house came up,  I then search the coast for it as Ive sailed there before and never seen it,   eventually I tracked down it was the wrong Burnham.    So we were in the area we went for a look.
