An overnight visit to the Isles of Lewis and Harris in unseasonably good weather afforded an opportunity to attend Calanais at dawn. Lots of footage and a song suggested by a friend came together into this video, something uinque, beautiful and perhaps sufficient to do justice to the site and the music - I shall let you decide...

Thanks, yes, we are on Skye this week, with one night on Lewis and Harris, thankfully the weather has played nicely, lots of locations and footage to process when I get home, and another video of Callanais form the previous day too...

That's an amazing sunrise.  I like how you used the sun's rays to bring out the stone formation.  Nice choice in background music.  I'm glad the weather cooperated for your trip.

I do remember the weather during my time in Scotland.  Seems like you have had very good luck with the weather.  I hope that trend holds up for you.

Thank you, yes we are in the darker half of the year now, we were lucky to get good weather during the trip to Lewis.

Thanks, the sideways tracking move was something the site just screamed at me to try, and it worked really well...

Just heard from ITV, they want to use this in their 'Ode to Joy' slot on the Alan Tichmarsh Sunday Morning show, probably on the 14th of January - quite a result

Very inspiring, makes me want to start capturing amazing views like this!!
