Hey,
Has anyone been able to successfully attach a bright flashing LED/Light on their Phantom 2's? Or any Phantom really. We're using a Phantom 2 Vision + for commercial purposes, and would like to have a flashing light to alert others the where abouts of the craft. So something bright...

Any ideas?

Sure, just Velcro a small pocket LED strobe underneath.

Heres one as an idea (not avail anymore, but you get the idea)

Ive also seen a "UFO" kit. Bright LEDs that surround the Phantoms outer edges. Lights it up like a X-mas tree. I dont think they strobe though.

Thanks for the ideas.

The only thing, is that the strobe would have to be clearly visible in the day. Kind of like an emergency vehicle strobe. Do you think these LED kits would be sufficient for that?

Not the UFO strobe.  I have one on a diff brand quad and its not too noticeable more than 50 feet away in the daytime. Crazy cool at night though.
Hopefully someone else will chime in

I have those flytron's fitted to mine a blue one and a white one very powerfull and easy to see during the day  I use a small 12v battery with a resistor fitted to reduce it to 5v.

The vision power source puts out 11.1V. Not sure if it would be wise to utilize that? I would just like to reduce the weight gain on the craft.

Interesting. Do you recommend a particular resister?

Is there a simple way to power them with a light weight battery instead of the phantoms power system?
