Why is the DJI Mimo App not available for a Macbook Pro running a M2 chip. DJI should provide the Mimo App as a download on its website so people can run it on there laptops  instead of an iPhone or iPad. It wold be more flexible to be able to run the DJI Mimo App on a laptop. Is this a possibility to be able download the App from your website. The Apple Store does not allow a laptop to download the Mimo App.  Tom Ellis

I do not see this as a 'big problem' at all... I use an M2 Macbook myself, but struggle to imagine when I'd need to use a Mimo app on it. The 'phone does fine for that. For serious editing I use Final Cut Pro, and for things like remote control or firmware updates a Macbook offers no advantages at all.

Actually, I just came across this topic exactly because I need it.

I have my Action 4, some clips inside - and I have my MacBook Pro M2 with me.

But no phone and no UBSC cable.

I know, hard to believe - but it happened.

And therefore I was looking for the solution. And there seems to be no solution available. The Mimo app does not seem to be published for MacOS.

I know it is quite possible, for example, my LumaFusion is available on my MacBook - but probably not so easy....

You would think MacBook and MacBook pro would be a large enough platform for you guys to support the mimo app? Why wouldn't you?

Its almost 2025 Update Please! Is anything in the works at all??

Nevermind I got my answer "When a developer wants to enable their iOS app to run on a Mac, they can essentially "click a box" in Xcode, which is Apple's development environment, to activate a feature called "Mac Catalyst"; this essentially allows them to easily port their existing iOS codebase to macOS with minimal adjustments, effectively letting their iOS app function on a Mac as well."

Its not that difficult. Its just a couple clicks in the app code.  Obviously you dont wan't us to be able to use your apps with our macbooks. Why?

Being able to apply the gps remote data  on my macbook air where I am editing the footage would make far more sense than messing about on a phone before then uploading it to the macbook.  I would have thought that this would be common sense.  Where is the advantage in downloading the footage twice?   I know some people live on their phones, if you're using other editing software, this is just a pain.

I find many times where having this on Mac would be beneficial, for editing, for downloading, and just for ease, lots of times I need my phone for other things while using the mimo app as a monitor, if I had it on my MacBook I'd easily be able to keep that open and use it the whole time whilst also, taking a call, using google maps, answering messages, etc, going back and forth between apps makes it more difficult.

The reason I would like DJI to fix the Mimo App to run on a MacBook is because I do a lot of video recording at live music events. It would be easier to control the Pocket camera remotely while monitoring the perfomance on a MacBook screen instead of the tiny iPhone screen. I setup the Pocket camera on a tripod and control it remotely while monitoring the performance. Being able to use the Mimo App on the MacBook also means one less step in transferring the video to the MacBook for editing. The MacBook is capable of running the App, it is just prevented from loading to the MacBook. This seems  like a simple fix and its has been over a year since I suggested this idea. Is somebody asleep at the wheel over there at DJI?
