Putting the clocks back an hour overnight enabled an early start at a later hour, if you catch my drift

Very nice shot Mr. B.    Definitely see the autumn colors making their presence known.

We still have a week to go here before our clocks change.

It's a bit depressing to see it going dark at 17h00 though

Yes, that is the trade off.  I keep waiting for us to go on permanent Daylight Savings Time.  Unfortunately, only the Senate approved the bill.  The House of Representatives are in total chaos and we will be lucky if they get any of the work done that they were elected to do.

France, too, have being trying to make their minds up for several years, whether to stay on "Summer" time all-year-round, or not.

That's the far end of the local cemetery. Laid out ready for eventual new residents.
You can see a few recent arrivals, bottom left of shot.

Seems a lot of us have trouble with daylight saving. I too wonder why we have it because some of the reasons here don't stack up. Oh well I can still nap in the afternoon until it gets too hot.
Yep looks like your weather is on the turn Blériot.
I first thought it was a development until I realised I was at the wrong end of the spectrum.

Daylight saving is a largely obsolete concept now, I think.  But many countries still adhere to it.

I'm hoping that issue will be raised again by the voters with the national elections coming up again before too long.

You're right about that.  They can't even get important legislation passed let alone a time law.  This is a great example of inaction.  There has always been some "sparring" going on but letting Congress lay idle is absolutely an atrocity.  I like the below quote and I can't for the life of me remember who originally said it.

Throughout history, it has been the inaction of those who could have acted; the indifference of those who should have known better; the silence of the voice of justice when it mattered most; that has made it possible for evil to triumph.

I thought the layout looked like a cemetery,   we went to the lockerbie plane crash memorial and they had a similar layout there.

I remember the tragedy well.  One of my colleagues at the time had driven up to Glasgow overnight, and to get back he was sent on a massive detour.

I've had some success with snow scenes, but opportunities are fleeting around here, We don't usually get masses of snow, and it soon melts or gets rained away.
And I feel the cold a lot more these days too
A heated RC might help

I tried last year to put on one of the hand warmers that we use for flying our RC planes and instead of trying it on over the DJI control with the drone on the ground. I absentmindedly sent the drone up first about 60 feet up, then I decided to put the warmer over the controller, so guess what happened?  Unbeknownst to me, I accidentally had pushed the sticks forward while rushing to get the warmer over the controller. The drone flew across the street to my neighbors tree and stayed there a week before mother nature decided gave it back to me.  . No warmers for me anymore, I just gave it away to a buddy.
