Does anyone know the aspect ratio of the sensor? Most sensors are either 4:3 or 3:2, but I believe the P3 has a 5:4 sensor, which is interesting. Correct me if I'm wrong but here is my reasoning:

4K (16:9) is at 3840x2160, which to me means the width of the sensor is 3840
3k (9:16) is at 1728x3072, which to me means the height of the sensor is 3072

3840 / 3072 = 1.25 = 5/4, so a 5:4 sensor.

Hi, Rishio. The Osmo Pocket 3 CMOS sensor has a rectangular shape with a 4:3 aspect ratio and a diagonal measurement of 16 mm. Have a nice day.

Hi Tony,
Having 4:3 aspect ratio sensor with 3072 pixel hight of 1:1 photo means 4096 pixel sensor width?

What is the full sensor pixel width and height?

3840 / 3072 = 1.25 = 5/4

So how is it not a 5/4 sensor?

4:3 doesn’t make sense to me though.

4K (16:9) is at 3840x2160, which to me means the width of the sensor is 3840

According to iPhonedo,
OP3 has 3.2µm sensor pixel size.

16mm diagonal in 4:3 ratio is 12.8mm width and 9.6mm height.
With 3.2µm by 3.2µm pixel, it is 4000 pixel wide and 3000 pixel high.
(Osmo Pocket 1 was this 4000 x 3000 12MP sensor.)

16mm diagonal in 5:4 ratio is 12.5mm width and 10mm height.
With 3.2µm by 3.2µm pixel, it is 3906  pixel wide and 3125  pixel high.
12.2MP

As you said, 5:4 aspect ratio is more likely to me.
