After Maiden fort and a few in Scotland I had the same thought as at Roman sights: Alright, nothing to see.

You lost that bet. I didn't sit at all. I was in a hurry as the parking meter either didn't work or I didn't have the right coins.
Shamefully I didn't enter the Hall either - regret it now. Happy though to have been able to fly at the spot you'll guess tomorrow and at the one you guessed yesterday because I was quick at Bramall...

Well I pointed it out to him at the time I did the POI video - you can just spot me. And for that shot he may well have chosen the same bench - It's right facing the building and barely 50 yards away.

The nearest one to us is Melandra - between Glossop and Mottram. I've filmed it before quite a while ago with the Mavic Pro Platinum, but all you can see is a field. There's virtually nothing left. Quite disappointing.

Yes.  It can be seen from directly above my elder daughter's house - so I flew the drone from her garden.
It's quite a while ago now so you may not have seen it.

Yes, some events do associate themselves strongly, in the memory. with places one has visited.
The girl who was murdered at Melandra was from the same school as my two daughters, at the time.
Her name is imprinted in my memory, even now.
